Toronto & the GTA
Corporate AI training in Toronto & the GTA
Hero runs private, hands-on AI training for teams in Toronto, Peel, York, Halton and Durham: at your office by appointment, or live online. Private team training starts at C$2,500 before tax for a half day, the price is posted rather than "contact us", and every session is built on the work your people already do, using the AI tool your organization has approved.
Free AI Hour monthly · public workshop from C$50 per seat · 1:1 coaching C$295 per session · private team training from C$2,500. Before tax.
A little practice. A lot of possibility.
What corporate AI training in Toronto looks like with Hero
Corporate AI training, done well, is a working session rather than a lecture. Your people sit with a laptop, open the approved tool on their work account, and take one real (non-sensitive) task from a rough first request to a result they have checked and would actually send. The trainer walks the room, fixes sign-in problems, and points out where the tool is confidently wrong.
Three things set a private session apart from a seat in a public class:
- Only your team is in the room. You can talk about your own clients, processes and templates, with names and figures swapped for invented ones.
- The examples are your jobs. Before the day we ask which roles are attending and pick one recurring task per role: a client follow-up email for account managers, a meeting summary for coordinators, a first-draft proposal section for sales.
- The rules are part of the training. What your staff may paste into the tool, and what never goes in, is taught in the same session, so the habit and the rule arrive together.
If you only need a few people trained, a seat in the C$50 public workshop or 1:1 coaching may fit better than a private day.
Where we train in person across the GTA
On-site sessions run on weekdays, at your office or a meeting room you book. These are the areas we cover without a travel quote:
| Region | Typical locations |
|---|---|
| City of Toronto | Downtown core, Liberty Village, midtown, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke |
| Peel | Mississauga (including Airport Corporate Centre and Square One area), Brampton, Caledon |
| York Region | Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Aurora |
| Halton | Oakville, Burlington, Milton |
| Durham | Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa |
Further out (Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Barrie or Niagara, say), ask on the contact page and we'll tell you honestly whether a trip makes sense and what it adds to the price. Everywhere else in Canada, the same session runs live on video.
Online or in person? In person works better for a first session with a mixed group, because sign-in trouble and "I'm not sure what to type" get solved in seconds at the table. Online works well for follow-ups, spread-out teams, and groups that already use the tool daily.
A sample half-day agenda
A sample half day runs about three and a half hours with a break. Times are approximate, and we adjust the blocks with you on the Fit Call; this is the starting point, not a fixed script.
| Time | Block | What people do |
|---|---|---|
| 0:00 | What the tool is good and bad at | See it draft, summarize and reformat well, then watch it invent a plausible but false detail. Agree on when a person must decide. |
| 0:25 | Your information rule | Sort real examples from your work into "fine", "only in the approved work account" and "never". Leave with the never-enter list. |
| 0:50 | Giving context without oversharing | Rewrite a one-line request into one with audience, purpose, format and a fictional stand-in for anything sensitive. |
| 1:30 | Break | |
| 1:45 | Hands-on lab by role | Each person completes one recurring task from their own job, start to finish, with the trainer at their shoulder. |
| 2:45 | Checking the output | Use a short review list: facts against the source, names and numbers, tone, and what the tool was never told. |
| 3:10 | Next 30 days | Each person picks the one task they will repeat next week; the manager leaves with a follow-up plan. |
A full day adds a planning block for leaders, a second lab and time to write one reusable workflow up properly. The full-day price is confirmed on the Fit Call.
Corporate AI training prices for Toronto teams

Bring this to the session: a checklist for the organizer
Most lost training time is lost to logistics. Send this list to whoever is booking the room.
Two weeks before
- Confirm which AI tool is approved (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, Gemini in Google Workspace, Claude Team) and that every attendee has a licence or seat on a work account, not a personal one.
- Send us the roles attending and one recurring task per role. A sentence each is enough.
- Ask IT whether any AI features are switched off by policy, so nobody is surprised on the day.
The day before
- Every attendee signs in to the tool once on the laptop they will bring. Multi-factor prompts and expired passwords are the classic first-hour time sink.
- Book a room with a screen or projector, reliable Wi-Fi, power for every laptop, and tables people can work at.
- Pick one non-sensitive sample document per role (an old proposal with names removed, a public web page, a template).
On the day
- Laptops charged, chargers in hand.
- No confidential files open. Anything sensitive gets a fictional stand-in.
- One manager who can answer "are we allowed to use it for this?" in the room.
Security is built into every session
Every team session covers safe use, because the everyday risk is usually a well-meaning person pasting the wrong thing into the wrong account. People learn which account they are signed in to, what the vendor does with what they type, and what never goes into any AI tool. For detail, see what information should not go into AI.
Two Ontario rules are worth knowing before you roll AI out to staff, and we flag both during planning:
- Electronic monitoring policy. Under the Employment Standards Act, an Ontario employer with 25 or more employees on January 1 of a year must have a written policy saying whether, how and why it electronically monitors employees, and give staff a copy (Ontario, Written policy on electronic monitoring of employees). If you plan to review AI usage logs, that belongs in the policy.
- AI in hiring. Since January 1, 2026, Ontario employers with 25 or more employees must state in a publicly advertised job posting whether they use artificial intelligence to screen, assess or select applicants (Ontario, Requirements related to publicly advertised job postings). If HR is in the training, we cover this.
Federally, the privacy commissioners' principles for generative AI set out expectations such as limiting the personal information that goes into these tools. This is general information, not legal advice. If your team handles a lot of client or employee data, a dedicated AI security session or assessment is the better start.
What happens in the 30 days after
New habits tend to fade if nobody follows up. The session ends with a plan the manager owns:
- Week 1: each person repeats their chosen task on real work at least twice and notes what went wrong.
- Week 2: a 15-minute team check-in. Which prompts worked? Where did someone catch a wrong answer? Save the good prompts in one shared place.
- Week 3: the manager reviews a few outputs against the review list. Fix the habit, not the person.
- Week 4: decide what becomes the standard way of doing that task, and pick the next one.
Questions in the meantime can come to the free monthly AI Hour. If leadership wants a ranked view of where AI should go next across the business, that is the job of an AI Readiness Assessment, not more training. For running the follow-through yourself, our guide to training employees to use AI has a step-by-step version.

FAQ: AI training in Toronto
How much does corporate AI training cost in Toronto?
Private team training starts at C$2,500 before tax for a half day; the full-day price is confirmed on the Fit Call. A public workshop seat is C$50 online, and 1:1 coaching is C$295 per session. Prices are the same across Canada.
Can you come to our office in Mississauga, Vaughan or Oakville?
Yes. On-site sessions run on weekdays anywhere in Toronto, Peel, York, Halton and Durham, by appointment. Further out, we confirm travel before you book.
Which AI tools do you train on?
The one your organization has approved: Microsoft Copilot (see Copilot training for what each licence includes), ChatGPT, Gemini in Google Workspace or Claude. If you haven't picked one, we help you decide on the Fit Call before training anyone.
Do people need to know anything about AI beforehand?
No. Mixed groups are normal. We pair beginners with tasks that are quick wins and give experienced users harder ones in the same lab.
Is there a certificate?
No. People leave with a task they've practised, a review list and the never-enter list, not a certificate or a promised time saving.
What if our team doesn't have an approved AI tool yet?
Then a seminar-style half day, or an AI Readiness Assessment, is usually the better first step. Hands-on labs need a tool people can log in to on work accounts.
